Nerlens Noel has cracked the Philadelphia Twittersphere this afternoon as he has tweeted out to the world what some are speculating to be the date of his Sixers debut.

It is just as likely that Noel was tweeting out the date of an anniversary or the birthday of a pet, but those things wouldn’t be as fun to go nuts over.

Noel, who has spent the entirety rookie season rehabbing from a torn ACL, has been practicing as of late and is back to performing some basketball activities on the court with his teammates. As the team is mired in a beautiful losing streak, there is not much to look forward to when Sixers basketball is being played.

Noel has taken to Twitter a lot recently and seems eager to get on the court for the Sixers.

There is little reason for Noel to make an appearance this season, but a few games out of the Sixers top rookie may breathe some hope into the fan base. Remember, Noel was the prize possession above Michael Carter-Williams and he has had a phenomenal rookie campaign.

Noel has spent the season studying NBA teams and learning the intricacies of Brett Brown’s system. He has also worked with the team to reinvent his jump shot. Sixers fans are certainly clamoring to see the results of this work but it may not be the worst thing to wait until next season.

If Noel was looking to provide us all with a subtle hint at his debut, mark your calendars for Friday, April 4th when the Sixers travel to take on the Boston Celtics.
