It’s Been a Year, Charlie Brown!

The Wooder Cooler? One year old? What?

It’s honestly hard to believe at this point, but nevertheless I’d like to begin by sincerely thanking all of you who come by and check out our site on a daily/weekly/whenever-the-hell basis. It may seem like a small thing but it means a lot to us. Without anyone to come by and read our articles, we’re nothing more than a 15 year old girl ranting on Tumblr about how great Justin Bieber is—and, frankly, that market is saturated.

When I came up with the idea for this site I was hoping to create an experience where Philly fans could get together and have a real discussion about our teams and better understand the intricate beast that is professional sports. Though it took a while to really figure out the how.

Through a lot of back and forth and beer The Wooder Cooler was eventually born and has crawled it’s way to the site that you see today. It wasn’t an easy process, but damnit it’s been fun and I’d like to thank all of the other guys—Hank Mushinski, Nick Carroll, and Ransom Cozillio—for their willingness to entertain my insanity.

You guys have made this thing much better than I could have imagined. I can’t thank you enough.

It may not have been a good year for Philly sports, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy covering it (especially when I was making shit up). I promise we’ll continue improving this year—we’ve got some fun things in the works—and maybe maybe we’ll see a team make the playoffs.

Either way, I’m looking forward to another year and hope you join us for the ride.

Thanks,

Vince
